PSAC files application at McGill University
The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) filed a certification applied on Friday, December 12, 2008 to represent a bargaining unit of 1,800 employees performing non-academic work at McGill University. This work includes largely administrative duties performed by McGill University students (not the work of Teaching Assistants who are already unionized).

TAs and RAs at University of Sherbrooke join PSAC
The ballots cast by TAs and RAs at the University of Sherbrooke were counted today at the Québec Labour Board. Ninety (90%) of the workers voted to support the union drive. The 1500 TAs and RAs join the 13900 graduate students in Québec who have already voted to join the Public Service Alliance of Canada in the Québec university sector.
